The Rural Development Fund Board, housed in the Office of Rural Prosperity, has oversight of the Rural Development Fund. The Board is charged with advising the Office on how to distribute tax revenue collected from mines to improve and strengthen local communities. Director is a voting member and makes final decision on projects (Public Act 411 of 2012).

My Neighborhood Connections?
My Neighborhood Connections AmeriCorps members serve southeast Michigan communities by connecting older adults with services and information to successfully age in place. Members serve communities by mobilizing volunteers, conducting home assessments, facilitating arts and wellness workshops, and connecting residents with affordable services. My Neighborhood Connections is a program of Hannan Center, whose mission is to preserve the dignity and enhance the quality of life of seniors in Michigan.
