The Crim Sports Corps utilizes a Sports Based Youth Development model to instill habits centering around healthy behaviors, leadership, good sportsmanship, and mindfulness. The Crim Sports program will support the health needs of Flint by providing services that mitigate the impacts of public health crises such as the water crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as childhood obesity. 8 full time and 4 half time members will assist program coaches during practices and games in setup and sports instruction Provide outreach to youth and families regarding upcoming sporting practices, games, and special events, provide mindfulness practices to participants during transportation to events, be responsible for data management in Team Sideline platform, and develop and implement a curriculum which includes healthy living, physical fitness, and social emotional learning.Contact: Program Director: Josh Miller
