Michigan State University Extension 4-H HealthCorps AmeriCorps Program
Michigan State University Extension 4-H HealthCorps AmeriCorps Program
The MSU Extension 4-H HealthCorps program is a statewide AmeriCorps program focused on promoting social and emotional wellness and preventing substance use among Michigan youth. Members serve by delivering hands-on healthy lifestyle education to youth ages 8–18 in classrooms, after-school programs, camps, and through short-term 4-H SPIN clubs tailored to youth interests. By building strong connections with local communities, supporting family engagement, and fostering positive youth development, 4-H HealthCorps members help expand access to critical health education and strengthen the reach and impact of MSU Extension’s youth programming across Michigan.
