ServiceNation in Michigan
The ServiceNation campaign aims to lead the passage of dramatic new service legislation, creating opportunities for Americans to serve at every key life-stage as a strategy for addressing critical challenges in communities. The campaign has created a Declaration of Service which will serve as a blueprint for creating a true nation of service. The campaign launched with a ServiceNation Summit, Sept. 11-12 in New York City, which brought hundreds of influential leaders together to draft the Declaration and form ServiceNation's policy process. The campaign picked up steam with a Day of Action on September 27th, which called on you, your neighbors, friends, and family to join in this citizen movement and make it a success!
The ServiceNation campaign will now move forward by carrying its policy agenda to Washington, D.C. and building a national grassroots movement aimed at inspiring widespread public support for serving communities and the country. The agenda also includes a new national service act that will encourage Americans to take the lead in creating a nation of service.
