Michigan's AmeriCorps Makes Big Impact Across State With Signature Service Projects

Six Russell G. Mawby Signature Service Projects took place on the weekend of May 15. AmeriCorps members and volunteers made a huge impact across the state by completing service projects at schools, nature centers and communities. More than 600 participants gave time to make a difference.

“The day was amazing! To see all of these people come out in the rain to help improve this site is truly inspiring. The hard work didn’t stop until the day was finished. I couldn’t have asked for a more dedicated group of community volunteers to spend the day with!” said Jennie Jandron, AmeriCorps Coordinator, who took part in the Northern Michigan Project.
