DTE Energy’s company-wide commitment to volunteerism connects employees to hundreds of organizations to further their missions and serve our communities. While the numbers of volunteers and hours served are impressive, the impact is immeasurable. DTE also provides skills-based volunteer opportunities, which allows DTE employees to share their invaluable life experiences. Creating a culture of volunteering has always been a priority for the company. Volunteerism is a focal point right from the start. The consistent company-wide support empowers employees to volunteer for events and causes that they’re passionate about. In total, DTE employees volunteered more than 89,000 hours, helped 828 nonprofits and reached an estimated value of $6 million in in-kind services in 2018. With their Care Force team and eagerness of their employees to make a difference, they have become a force for good in communities.
