Outstanding Volunteer Program - Give A Kid Projects
Give a Kid Projects is an all-volunteer group that works to meet the needs of families in Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton counties by providing a variety of resources for families and children. Every family needs back to school supplies, warm winter clothes, Christmas presents, and home goods. Give a Kid Projects helps meet these needs with programs like Give a Kid a Backpack, Give a Kid a Coat, Give a Kid a Christmas, and Give a Kid 360. Their newest program, Give a Kid a Future, helps equip young adults with interview attire and training for job and scholarship interviews. Give a Kid Projects has continued to grow for nearly 40 years. The dedicated volunteers of this nonprofit identify needs of children and families in their community, mobilize individuals and businesses that meet those needs, and organize distribution events that positively impact hundreds of families each year. In their many years of service, Give a Kid Projects has recruited over 5,000 community volunteers who have served 67,000 hours to collectively benefit more than 30,000 children. Give a Kid Projects helps enrich the lives of families in need and volunteers alike.
