Aid in Milan
Aid in Milan
For nearly half a century, Aid in Milan has stood as a pillar of empowerment in the community, a steadfast presence since 1976. Over the years, services have evolved and expanded, yet the mission has remained constant: to improve the quality of life within the greater Milan area through volunteerism and community action that promotes a stable food supply and healthy living. Guided by three goals: building healthy communities, disrupting poverty cycles, and lending a hand to our neighbors, fostering resilience and unity. Through innovative pantry programs, targeted aid, and compassionate outreach Aid in Milan strives to break barriers, create lasting change, and build a thriving Milan community.
They also aim to create a community of compassion, removing the stigma of asking for help. By recognizing both givers and receivers as people instead of statistics, they aim to inspire real change that promotes unity in the Milan area and beyond.
Aid in Milan is using the funding for maintenance and upgrades to its building. The project involves replacing and/or updating long-overdue items within the organization. Funds have been directed to food and programming and seek to continue the day-to-day mission while still affording to be good stewards of the historic building and grounds.
