Bad Axe Area District Library
Bad Axe Area District Library
The Bad Axe Area District Library is a rural public library serving around 7,000 people in the heart of Huron County. The library is proud to offer free access to print and digital books, internet and computing access, outreach programming, and enrichment opportunities for all ages. The libraries plan is to use this grant to help fund a major renovation of their aging facility. This grant will help to make the building more accessible to patrons with disabilities and allow the library to add quiet study rooms that will make the space more usable. The library plans to make the most of their existing footprint by replacing the flooring, updating and adding windows, adding additional shelving, and replacing worn furnishings. Finally, the library will use these funds to replace the roof and add security cameras to the exterior of the building.
