Detroit Magic Child Development
Detroit Magic Child Development is an organization that provides academic, STEM, SEL and recreational activities for youth in the metro Detroit area. Detroit Magic Child’s mission is to work together with churches, parents, schools and other organizations to provide a nurturing environment that will build character through sports, promote academic achievement, build self-esteem and enhance the emotional, social and physical development of each child. Their goal is to continue to provide recreational and educational programs that motivate and instill positive behavior and build future leaders.
Chosen Generations Community Center, where their programs will be held, is located at 2326 East Seven Mile Rd on the eastside of Detroit. The facility has classrooms, a gym, a banquet hall area, a library, and local businesses. DMCD's other location is Pastuer Elementary School, which is located at 19811 Stoepel on the west side of Detroit. DMCD will serve 30 to 35 youth and provide STEM, social and emotional learning, mental health, financial and reading literacy, as well as physical and healthy living, working to improve the overall development of our children.
