Ironwood Theatre, Inc.
The Historic Ironwood Theatre is a 700-seat theatre built in 1928 and now listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. For nearly 100 years, the theatre has provided a gathering place for school events, dance recitals, film, live performing arts and community celebrations. Hosting over 50 events each year, HIT is a focal point of community activity for residents and visitors alike. This project will upgrade and replace obsolete components of the theatre's stage rigging, resulting in an updated, safer, and more capable space where community members of any age can serve, learn, collaborate, and create. This MI Community Center Grant funded project will ensure the theatre remains a vibrant community hub for generations to come.
