Michigan Health Improvement Alliance
The Michigan Health Improvement Alliance connects and empowers those who, together, are addressing obstacles to equitable health and well-being across central and eastern Michigan.
The project is to take an existing elementary school building built in the 1970 and transform it into a community resource center. It will include recreational spaces for organized sports, casual physical activity and an indoor playscape to accompany the upgrades to an outdoor playground. It will have designated space for workforce development and other educational courses. A designated space for before- and after-school care and offices for social service agencies and nonprofits so that families may come to one space to meet many of their needs.
