Michigan Interfaith Power and Light
Michigan Interfaith Power & Light
Michigan IPL's project will work with 6 Detroit-based congregations who are committed to meeting their communities' material and spiritual needs. Money from this grant will enable the IPL to help the congregations improve their buildings and deploy supportive programming, especially related to energy, climate resilience, and healthy homes.
Michigan IPL has over 20 years' experience helping congregations use building projects as a means to educate and engage participants more broadly around the issues of energy and climate. The IPL is excited to continue their work with New Mt. Hermon Mission Baptist Church, Lord of Lords Ministries, St. Peter's Episcopal Church, the Muslim Center and Mosque of North Detroit, Pilgrim Baptist Church, and St. Suzanne's Catholic Church.
