The American Legion Chief Pontiac Post 377
Chief Pontiac Post was founded in 1943 and grew quickly and had to move to a new location in 1958. With the history of helping Veterans and working with the community, the need continued to become a disaster relief center.
Over 500 families are within a short ten-minute walk of our facility. With the improvements, such as a generator, ADA compliant restrooms, and an updated kitchen facility, the Legion will provide a HML warming/cooling center.
