MiSTEM convenes a statewide network of leaders in education, business and local communities to empower the next generation of innovators.
The Rural Development Fund Board, housed in the Office of Rural Prosperity, has oversight of the Rural Development Fund. The Board is charged with advising the Office on how to distribute tax revenue collected from mines to improve and strengthen local communities. Director is a voting member and makes final decision on projects (Public Act 411 of 2012).

Youth Volunteer Movement Branding Contest
The Michigan Community Service Commission is hosting a contest for youth to create a logo and brand to launch a Youth Volunteer Movement in Michigan.
We recognize the power that all voices have in creating solutions to solve challenging issues in our Michigan. The campaign is meant to inspire youth through college age to be engaged in making a difference.
Contest Directions
Create a logo design that will be used to Inspire people to volunteer.
Submit designs and branding to LEO-YouthVolunteers@michigan.gov
Provide your name, email address, phone, school name and age.Deadline for submissions is May 31, 2023
Selection Timeline
All designs will be considered
Selection of the design will be occur this summer
All applicants will receive correspondence informing them of the decisions.
Prizes
Top design creator will receive $100 gift card
Honorable mention design creators will receive $50 gift card
