BTBL News & Events
The BTBL in Lansing, Michigan offers programs to patrons statewide. The National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS) also offer direct patron programming nationwide via Zoom and dial in options. In addition, the Advisory and Outreach Centers throughout the state may also hold local programs available to patrons in their serving counties. Contact your serving library for more information on programming opportunities.

Summer Reading Program
The BTBL Summer Reading Program runs from June 16 – August 15. To register for Summer Reading, fill out this google form or call the library at 1-800-992-9012. The program includes the following opportunities:
BTBL hosted events in partnership with the Henry Ford Museum
- July 12 @ 10am – Tactile Group Tour 1*
- July 15 @ 2pm – History of Ice Cream virtual event led by Henry Ford Museum retired curator, Donna Braden.
- July 17 @ 1pm – Tactile Group Tour 2*
- July 21 @ 10am – Tactile Group Tour 3*
- *In-person Group Touch Tours require pre-registration for ALL attendees with a max of 15 people per tour. Pre-registration opens Monday July 16 on a first come, first serve basis. BTBL will provide entrance fee for each registered person. Transportation not provided.

- Craft & Chat: Formerly known as 'Knitting Club', this meeting has transitioned to a virtual meet up for all crafters to enjoy each other's company while working on crafts independently. Join Librarian Meagan Daniels to chat about what you are working on and hear more about the crafts others are doing as well! - Tech Tidbits: A short 20 minute tech topic presentation by Librarian Bridgid Turner, followed by Q&A. Each month features a different topic. Meets the fourth Tuesday of each month from 10 -10:30 a.m. via Zoom.
