The Rural Development Fund Board, housed in the Office of Rural Prosperity, has oversight of the Rural Development Fund. The Board is charged with advising the Office on how to distribute tax revenue collected from mines to improve and strengthen local communities. Director is a voting member and makes final decision on projects (Public Act 411 of 2012).

In an eligibility case, the burden of proof is always on the claimant to prove that he or she filed a claim and, for every week he or she is claiming benefits, he or. she was:
(1) Able to work;
(2) Available for full-time, suitable work;
(3) Actively seeking work, unless this requirement has been excused; and
(4) Reporting for benefits as directed by the Agency, or had good cause for not reporting or filing as directed.
It is a good idea to keep notes about where you looked for work each week, and to bring those notes with you to the hearing.
