About the RFP
The Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Opportunity (LEO) is making up to $750,000 in funding available to Michigan Community Colleges for equipment purchases, instructor development, and the retrofitting of existing lab spaces that directly support training activities under the Michigan Industry‑Driven Skills Training Program (MIDSTP). This funding is intended to expand the state’s capacity to train workers for high‑demand maritime and shipbuilding occupations aligned with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Industry‑Driven Skills Training Grant.
Application information
Submissions are due by 5:00 p.m. EDT on Monday, July 20, 2026, and must be submitted to LEO-SectorStrategies@michigan.gov.
