LANSING, Mich. — Michigan Land Bank Fast Track Authority Director Josh Burgett issued the following statement regarding Gov. Rick Snyder signing Senate Bill 1036 into law:
"We are grateful for the Legislature's quick passage of Senate Bill 1036, signed by Gov. Snyder as Public Act 334 of 2018 today, that transfers Pugsley Correctional Facility, Deerfield Correctional Facility, Camp Tuscola and Caro properties from the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB) to the Michigan Land Bank. The Land Bank looks forward to working with local stakeholders on the redevelopment of the vacant and unproductive sites that will bring added value to their communities."
