Description:

8:30 am– 12:00 pm Timber Trail Food Plot Tours & Discussion. There will be minimal trail walking.

12:30 pm- 1:30 pm– Lunch catered by Bobaloons.  Discussions with USDA NRCS, MSU Personnel & Delta Conservation District (Programs and Technical Assistance).

Info:

  • Showcasing different food plot types & combination plots within existing forest stands and options for attracting and funneling wildlife along existing trails.
  • Ways to create visual screens using Egyptian wheat to minimize detection.
  • Discussions and demonstrations on invasive species ID, mechanical removal and chemical treatment options.
  • Having success with mast trees (oak tree selection, weed control, proper planting, protection, fertilizer, understanding realistic growth expectations and mast production timelines.
  • L&M will be onsite showcasing equipment for DIY Landowners - Low budget  options to enhance success!
  • DEMO: Buck Haven Contracting will install a fall plot the day of the event
