Grow Your Own and Educator Development Programs Grant Biannual Performance Reports

According to the Grow Your Own and Educator Development Program Competitive Grants under MCL 388.1627b, the Michigan Department of Education is required to ensure that all performance reports mandated under subsection three are made publicly available. These reports must be posted on the department’s official website so that stakeholders and the public can access information regarding the program’s outcomes and accountability measures.

Subsection three further specifies that the reports must include several key elements: the number of program participants served and their retention within the program or district, qualitative and quantitative feedback from participants, and evidence demonstrating the program’s efficacy as well as progress toward the projected outcomes.

Updates as of March 2026:

  • No performance reports can be submitted at this time because the grant application is still open for eligible applicants.

Updates as of September 2026:

  • The grant application window was open from February 2, 2026, to March 3, 2026. 74 districts were selected for awards in June 2026. These districts are listed here: 27b Award Listings
  • First biannual report cycle (March 2026): No report collected; grant monies not yet distributed.
  • Second biannual reporting cycle (September 2026): No reports were collected; award notifications were issued in June 2026. Reports were not collected from grantees because insufficient performance time had elapsed to generate meaningful performance information.
  • Third biannual report cycle (March 2027). Instructions will be made available to grantees in preparation for reporting on the Future Proud Michigan Educator Staff Grant website.
