The Rural Development Fund Board, housed in the Office of Rural Prosperity, has oversight of the Rural Development Fund. The Board is charged with advising the Office on how to distribute tax revenue collected from mines to improve and strengthen local communities. Veterans' Career Advisors work directly with veterans and eligible persons who have qualifying barriers to employment. These individualized careers services include, but are not limited to:
Other responsibilities of the veterans' career advisors include case management, outreach services to veterans, and group job counseling, which differs from licensed counseling. They want to establish a strong rapport and relationship with the veterans they serve, to provide the best services possible to help them reach their employment goals.
