Osceola County Commission on Aging
Osceola County Commission on Aging
The Osceola County Commission on Aging (OCCOA) provides services to seniors aged 60 and older throughout Osceola County. Those services include home delivered meals, senior center meal sites, home health care, transportation and assistance with social services.
The OCCOA provides almost 60,000 meals per year to 700 area seniors with the home delivered and senior center.
In addition to the meals provided at the center we also provide activities, games, education, socialization, and physical enhancement programs. This has benefited them in many ways by helping with their health and spirit.
The senior center is still evolving and growing to meet the needs of our clients. We have the space to have a walking path/track and pickle ball courts for more outside activities. We also plan to enhance the kitchen to meet the increased need for services and growing attendance. Services to the community have grown considerably in the past few years. The Center has more than doubled the amount of meals provided, hours of care in the home, transportation miles, and attendance.
