The Rural Development Fund Board, housed in the Office of Rural Prosperity, has oversight of the Rural Development Fund. The Board is charged with advising the Office on how to distribute tax revenue collected from mines to improve and strengthen local communities. Director is a voting member and makes final decision on projects (Public Act 411 of 2012).

We are excited to invite you to a presentation about the 2027 Fehribach Center Summer Internship Program, which focuses on paid opportunities for students with physical disabilities, including mobility, orthopedic, visual, and hearing impairments. This presentation will provide valuable insights into how you can obtain a paid meaningful summer internship in your field of study, with housing, accommodation assistance, and training included.
Below are the dates & times of the three meetings scheduled for students to ask questions about the program and to meet with the recruiters.
11/16, Monday – University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (1 to 3 pm)
11/17, Tuesday – Grand Valley State University, Allendale (2 to 4 pm)
11/18, Wednesday – Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo (11:30 to 1:30 pm)
On Monday, November 16, the internship representatives will be available for students at the University of Michigan from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the University Career Center in the Student Activities Building. Joelle Fundaro at Career Services is the U of MI contact (jfundaro@umich.edu).
On Tuesday, November 17, the internship representatives will be available for students at Grand Valley from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the Kirkhof Center. JasonOsbourne from Disability Services is the GVSU contact (osborjas@gvsu.edu).
On Wednesday, November 18, the internship representatives will be available for students at Western Michigan University from 11:30 to 1:30 in the Student Center Building. Andrea Page at Career Services is the WMU contact (andrea.page@wmich.edu ).
College students and any recent graduates are eligible for the internship and encouraged to attend the presentation closest to them.

The Gregory S. Fehribach Center at Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis exists to promote economic independence and equitable employment for college students throughout the Midwest with physical disabilities (mobility, visual, hearing, & orthopedic). The foundation of the Fehribach Center is an internship program that connects students with employers in the Indianapolis area for paid internships in fields related to their academic majors and career interests. To this point, 305 students have participated in 612 internships. These students have come from 49 different colleges and have interned at 61 employers, including Eskenazi Health, Eli Lilly, Cummins, Republic Airways, the Indiana Pacers, and Christel House International. In addition to the internship, housing and transportation assistance is provided as needed, along with impactful professional development opportunities throughout the summer.
