In 2021 the American Rescue Plan Act provided a $7.171 billion Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF). This funding would be used for equipment (Wi-Fi hotspots, modems, routers, devices that combine modem and router), connected devices (laptops and tablets) and services for off-campus use by students, school staff or library patrons. Check with local schools and libraries for the availability of loan programs.
