Federal Programs
Program Name: Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)
Description: The ACP is a federal program that helps many eligible households pay for broadband and internet-connected devices.
Administering Entity: Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
Cost and Features:
- Up to a $30/month discount on internet service and a $75/month discount if the household on qualifying Tribal lands
- A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet or desktop computer
- You may qualify through a provider low-cost service plan that may be fully covered through the ACP
Who is Eligible: A household with income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, meets the eligibility criteria for a participating providers existing low-income internet program or if a member of the household participates in at least one of the following programs:
- The National School Lunch Program or the School Breakfast Program, including through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Medicaid
- Federal Public Housing Assistance
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
- Veterans Pension or Survivor Benefits
- Federal Pell Grant Recipient (during the current award year)
- Meets the eligibility criteria for a participating provider's existing low-income internet program
- Lifeline
- Go to AffordableConnectivity.gov to submit an application, or print out a mail-in application and send it to ACP Support Center, P.O. Box 7081, London, Ky., 40742. Once your application is accepted, you will receive a National Verifier application ID.
- Contact your preferred participating provider to select a plan and have the discount applied to your bill. They will need your National Verifier application ID.
