Roger Curtis: Marshall Plan for Talent, state's talent attraction campaign will move Michigan from top 10 spot to No. 1 state for talent

LANSING, Mich. – Talent and Economic Development Department of Michigan Director Roger Curtis issued the following statement after Michigan was named a top 10 state for STEM talent in CNBC’s America’s Top States for Business study.

“Being named to the top 10 states for talent is a testament to the hard work the state is doing to connect all Michiganders with good-paying careers in high-demand fields. And with the Marshall Plan for Talent and the state’s soon-to-launch talent attraction campaign, Choose Michigan, the Great Lakes state will become the national leader in the most and best talent for businesses.”

Today’s ranking adds to a growing list of other recent accolades including: Michigan making the top five “Global Best to Invest” list by Site Selection magazine; jumping nine places in the ranking of “Best States to do Business” by Chief Executive magazine; and a No. 3 ranking for tech job growth in the nation by CompTIA.
