DETROIT, Mich. – Talent and Economic Development Department of Michigan Director Roger Curtis issued the following statement after the groundbreaking ceremony for the Gordie Howe International Bridge in Detroit today.
“The construction of the Gordie Howe International Bridge will create thousands of good-paying jobs for Michiganders. From the engineers who design the bridge to the construction workers that will bring the designs to life, Michigan workers will play a key role in building this iconic structure that will long be a symbol of the state’s comeback. And the Marshall Plan for Talent will be a critical piece to ensuring Michiganders are prepared for these high-demand careers that will take center stage with the construction of this soon-to-be staple in Michigan’s history.”
