State of Michigan to host MIX: Mobility Innovation Exchange Summit and Centrepolis Accelerator Demo Day Sept. 17 at M1 Concourse in Pontiac
July 10, 2026
LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity's Office of Future Mobility and Electrification (OFME) announced it will host the Mobility Innovation Exchange “MIX” Summit on Sept. 17 at M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan — an annual conference bringing together industry leaders, innovators and policymakers to discuss emerging transportation technologies shaping Michigan’s future. Later that day, Centrepolis Accelerator will host its Demo Day, showcasing startups and technologies supported by the accelerator and OFME, including awardees of the Make It in Michigan Mobility Prototyping Grant Program. The events will celebrate the kickoff of Mobility Week in Michigan.
The co-located events will take place at M1 Concourse, a premier automotive and motorsports venue in Pontiac, Michigan. The MIX Summit will convene mobility stakeholders for a full day of programming spanning ground, air and maritime innovation, including sessions on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), maritime infrastructure, transit, manufacturing and defense applications.
“MIX is more than a conference; it’s an opportunity to demonstrate what makes Michigan the global center of mobility innovation,” said Justine Johnson, OFME Chief Mobility Officer. “By bringing together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and policymakers under one roof, we’re accelerating the collaboration and investment needed to ensure next-generation mobility technologies are designed, built, deployed and scaled right here at home. We look forward to welcoming the mobility community to Pontiac for a day that showcases the ingenuity and ambition that define Michigan.”
MIX: Mobility Innovation Exchange builds on the success of previous years’ programming, continuing OFME’s tradition of bringing together Michigan’s mobility ecosystem for dialogue, insight, and collaboration on the technologies and policies defining the next era of transportation. This year’s event expands on that foundation, bringing together a growing community of innovators, industry partners and state leaders to accelerate Michigan’s leadership across all modes of mobility.
Following the conference, the Centrepolis Demo Day will open the floor to live demonstrations and exhibits, giving investors, OEMs, suppliers, government partners and the public a firsthand look at the technologies being built in Michigan today.
“Demo Day is where Michigan’s mobility future comes to life,” said Dan Radomski, CEO, Centrepolis Accelerator at Lawrence Technological University. The companies exhibiting are developing some of the most promising hardtech innovations in the country, and they chose Michigan to build them. From drones taking flight to electric vehicles hitting the track, attendees will see firsthand why Michigan remains the best place in the world to design, engineer and manufacture next-generation mobility products. We’re proud to host this showcase alongside OFME and look forward to connecting these innovators with the partners and investors who will help them scale.”
Attendees can expect a full afternoon of activities, including live drone and unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) demonstrations, ride-and-drives and additional hands-on programming throughout the day.
