Legislative Liaison
Mikaylah Heffernan serves as the Legislative Liaison for MDARD, playing a pivotal role in coordination of legislative responses and is responsible for development and implementation of the department's legislative priorities.
Heffernan comes to MDARD with a great deal of experience within the Michigan legislature as well as experience in the non-profit and public policy sphere. She holds an associate’s degree in biotechnology as well as a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in public policy, both from Michigan State University.
