MDARD's Temporary Storage Facility Requirements
The following is a reminder of MDARD's temporary storage facility requirements for licensed grain dealers.
- If temporary facilities are used during the license year and were not reported in Section 8 of the license application, report the location on the Department's Grain Dealer Daily Position Report (DPR) Form.
- If the temporary location is off premises, please include a copy of the lease agreement and a bin diagram, which clearly identifies the bins being leased. To qualify as a temporary storage facility, there must be no grain received at that location.
- If the temporary storage capacity increases the overall bushel capacity to a higher license fee bracket, please remit the additional fee with the license application or the Department's Grain Dealer Daily Position Report Form.
- If the temporary storage capacity increases the overall warehouse receipt bushel capacity to a higher bond amount bracket, please submit proof of bond increase with the license application or with the Department's Grain Dealer DPR Form.
