BEAD Grant Application Website
The Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program: BEAD Restructuring Policy Notice notes that unlicensed fixed wireless providers that serve BEAD-eligible locations must be offered an opportunity to provide evidence that BEAD funding is not required for the locations they serve. A table of BEAD-eligible locations in Michigan that are shown on the Federal Communications Commission’s Broadband Data Collection map to have service available from an unlicensed fixed wireless provider can be found here. The following providers are listed one or more times on that table:
- 123.NET Inc
- Air Advantage
- Allband Communications Cooperative
- CMS Internet
- DMCI Broadband LLC
- ISP Managemen Inc
- Kwikbit
- Lakeland Internet
- M3 Wireless Inc
- NCATS
- Northern Broadband
- Ridge Tower Network LLC
- SyncWave
These providers must notify MIHI no later than June 16, 2025, if they intend to submit evidence that BEAD funding is not required for the locations they report serving. This notification must be sent by email to LEO-MIHighSpeedInternet@michigan.gov with the subject line “ULFW BEAD Evidence.”
The BEAD Program is designed to ensure that every home, business, and community anchor institution in Michigan will have access to a high-speed internet connection by awarding grants to build infrastructure to locations that need it. BEAD-eligible locations were identified through the BEAD State Challenge Process and can be found on the BEAD Locations page below.
