Connections to Partner Assets and Services

MRS will work with you to address your business needs by connecting you to partner and community resources. MRS can connect you to:
  • Economic development resources
  • The Michigan Works! Association and other business solutions providers. The Michigan Works! Association delivers resources aimed at building the state’s workforce and ensuring economic opportunity by connecting local talent and job leaders with the advocacy, training, and information tools needed to be successful in their communities.
  • The Bureau of Services for Blind Persons (BSBP) for vision-related issues. BSBP is a vocational rehabilitation program that helps businesses find and retain qualified employees who are blind or have low vision. BSBP also provides training and adaptive equipment to businesses and their employees.
BSBP Services 
In order to qualify for BSBP services, individuals must have acuities of 20/70 or less in the better eye with best correction; or must have a visual field loss of 40 degrees or less in the better eye with a documented deteriorating condition. 
 
BSBP can provide a range of services including:
  • low-vision examinations, 
  • telescopic and microscopic glasses, 
  • complex contact lenses, 
  • light-filtering eyewear, 
  • prescription sports goggles, 
  • bifocals, and 
  • prismatic lenses.  
A sliding scale will be used to determine financial participation.
