In 2017, the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) conducted a review and on-site monitoring of the Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS) program as authorized under Title I of the Rehabilitation Act. As a result of that review, one major finding was identified related to the reasonableness of rates of payment for Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services. MRS partnered with Public Consulting Group, Inc (PCG) to assist us in meeting federal cost principles requiring that costs be allowable, reasonable, and allocable to the program.

This MRS Fee Schedule outlines the rates of payment for specific VR services effective March 1, 2024 . This also includes an appendix with service descriptions. For more information on 2024 rate changes, see the below February 21, 2024 information session recording.
Note: Listed services authorized prior to March 1, 2024 are to be authorized at the previous rate of payment as outlined on MRS Fee Schedule April 2023. Listed services authorized on or after March 1, 2024 are to be authorized and paid at the updated rate of payment as outlined in the MRS Fee Schedule March 2024. For listed services authorized prior to March 1, 2024 and provided on or after March 1, 2024, vendors should contact the customer's MRS counselor to request information on obtaining payment at the updated rate.

MRS hosted a series of public vendor information sessions February 12 through February 22, 2024 to provide information on the topics of rate enhancements, development of an MRS Vendor Manual, and future opportunities for involvement with MRS.
