Quarterly Wage Reporting

In this issue of the MiUI Minute, we’re providing an update on the new filing methods and file formats for Quarterly Wage Report submissions. Your first Quarterly Wage Report will be submitted in MiUI in January 2026. However, you need to be familiar with new file formats and which one is best for you to use.

The filing method describes how you want to report your wage information for the quarter. The file format describes how information in an uploaded file is displayed and stored. Note: The MiWAM delimited format used to submit a 1028 file is no longer supported and there are four new file format options that can be used in MiUI.

The filing methods in MiUI are:

• File Upload. Attach an electronic wage file.
• Copy Previous Quarter: Modify previous quarter’s data.
• Manual Entry: Enter individual wage records manually online.
• No Employment and No Wage Report: No employment and no wages paid in the quarter.

Uploaded files must be in one of the following file formats:

• Delimited. CSV comma delimited.
• EFW2. Formerly MMREF-SSA.
• ICESA. NASWA standard file format.
• XML. Standard format.
