MiUI Minute: Issue Three (Updated November 2025)

Employers and Third-Party Administrators

In this issue, we’re sharing important details about MiUI accounts for Employers and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs). TPAs can be Employer Representatives, Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs), Fiscal Intermediaries (FIs), or Reimbursable Group Accounts. Learn about the role of Employers and TPAs in MiUI, how each will gain access to MiUI, and important next steps.

MiUI empowers Employers by giving them complete ownership and control over their accounts. Employers will add, modify, or remove TPA relationships, and assign roles to TPAs. A complete list of roles can be found on MiUI University.

Existing TPAs will need to initiate their accounts in MiUI to gain access to the system, while new TPAs will register for accounts in MiUI. TPAs will receive additional information regarding the registration/initiation process at a later time.

While some TPAs will be able to link themselves to an employer, depending on their organization type and/or proper documentation, other TPAs must wait for the employer to make the connection with their TPA. After TPAs receive their roles, they will be given the access needed to focus on their assigned tasks (e.g., submitting quarterly wage reports, making payments, and updating employer account details).

To stay on track ahead of the launch of MiUI please:

  • Review the Quick Reference Guide on Employers and TPAs in MiUI.
  • Complete this month’s Employer Checklist tasks. 
    • Confirm you have an Employer MiWAM account and update your contact information.
    • For TPAs and other users, review roles/permissions and update information.
    • Go to MiUI University to review the role and assignment process for TPAs in MiUI.
  • Explore additional resources on MiUI University.
