MiUI Minute: Issue Ten
November 21, 2025
The Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) is transitioning to a new tax and benefits system called MiUI, which will replace the current Michigan Web Account Manager (MiWAM). In this issue of the MiUI Minute, we’re providing information on Tax Payments in MiUI.
Tax Payments in MiUI
Following MiUI Go Live, which is scheduled for December 15, 2025, Michigan employers will use MiUI — not MiWAM — to submit tax payments and file wage reports. UIA's new computer system is designed to modernize the process, providing improved tools for electronic submissions while streamlining quarterly reporting and payment tasks for employers.
To ensure accurate and timely tax payments, employers should regularly review UIA guidance and maintain detailed payroll and employment records. Leveraging MiUI’s tools can help streamline the payment process and support ongoing compliance with Michigan’s unemployment tax requirements.
Payment methods remain the same in MiUI.
Only employers can schedule payments in MiUI. Details for Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) regarding bulk payments and ACH credit payments can be found on MiUI University. For more information about making tax payments in MiUI, check out this Quick Reference Guide.
The processes for submitting tax payments and quarterly wage reports are both designed to streamline your experience with MiUI, making it efficient and straightforward. For more information on these two processes, watch the video below:Where to Find More Information
Thank you for your continued support as we transition to MiUI. We look forward to collaborating throughout the launch to make this transition a success.
Employers and TPAs can find more information and resources about UIA’s new computer system implementation at MiUI University.
