MiUI Minute: Issue 18

The Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) is transitioning to a new tax and benefits system called MiUI, which will replace the current Michigan Web Account Manager (MiWAM). In this issue of the MiUI Minute, we’re providing information about the MiUI Training Library.

Helpful materials for navigating UIA's upcoming new user platform

Located on the MiUI Training and Resources page at MiUI University, the MiUI Training Library will be your go-to resource for interactive learning courses, job aids, step-by-step guides, and other helpful materials to prepare you for the launch of MiUI (Monday, Feb. 23, 2026, for tax functions). Resources have been consolidated in the Training Library so you can easily find what you need to enhance your understanding of the system. Reference guides, videos, toolkits, and other helpful materials have all been moved to the Training Library and are grouped by topic to support your skill development. 

How can I access the Training Library?

On the MiUI Resources for Employers and TPAs page, navigate to the Trainings button under the More Resources section. In the Training Library, you will find a variety of helpful resources including courses you can take to familiarize yourself with MiUi processes.

Want to know more? There’s a MiUI Toolkit.

The MiUI Toolkit, available on MiUI University, is a downloadable detailed guide that provides an overview of the MiUI system and how to use it for tax functions. In the MiUI Toolkit, you will find helpful information, reference materials, and step-by-step guidance for various tasks in MiUI. A second MiUI Toolkit will be available for benefits functions in summer 2026 with additional resources and guidance materials.

Did you know UIA offers MiUI Employer and TPA Seminars? These sessions provide an overview of key system changes, live demonstrations, guidance to help organizations prepare for the transition, and opportunities to ask questions.
