Please hold the date for the 2026 Food Protection Task Force (FPTF) Annual Meeting, focused on food safety emergency preparedness and resilience. The meeting will include an interactive tabletop exercise based on a Michigan weather-related emergency, designed to highlight food safety risks and the importance of having a Food Safety Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
Following the exercise, expert speakers will share what to expect during an emergency, including likely impacts, common challenges, and operational realities—along with best practices for preparing for, responding to, and recovering from emergency events across the food system.
