The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) offers and processes Certificates of Free Sale for animal feed related products. Issued certificates expire 1 year from the date of issuance.
$60.00 for the initial certificate.
$10.00 for each additional certificate.
Requestor must be currently licensed by MDARD as a Commercial Animal Feed Processor.
Requestor must complete the Certificate of Free Sale Request Form and email the form and copies of product label(s) to MDA-FDDBusinessSectionInfo@michigan.gov.
When MDARD receives your request form and confirms compliance of the Michigan Feed Law, we will process your Certificate of Free Sale request, and provide an invoice for payment. Processing time is typically 10 business days.
