Animal Feed Products Certificate of Free Sale for MDARD License Holders
Overview
The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development's (MDARD) Pesticide and Plant Pest Management Division offers and processes Certificates of Free Sale for animal feed related products. Issued certificates expire 1 year from the date of issuance.
Fees
$60.00 for the initial certificate.
$10.00 for each additional certificate.
Instructions
Step 1
Requestor must be currently licensed by MDARD's Pesticide and Plant Pest Management Division as a Commercial Animal Feed Processor. If you have questions regarding this, please contact MDARD-AnimalFeed@michigan.gov.
Step 2
Requestor must complete the Certificate of Free Sale Request Form and send in payment. Request form and payment will be mailed to:

Step 3
Email copy of request form, copies of product label(s), and the date your payment/request was mailed in to MDARD-AnimalFeed@michigan.gov.
When MDARD receives your payment and assures requestors compliance of the Michigan Feed Law, we will process your Certificate of Free Sale request. Once we have completed a draft of your request, we will email a copy to you for approval. Once approved by you, we request 7-10 business days to complete the request and mail it to you.
