Michigan election law governs the ballot access procedures under which a candidate, political party, or ballot measure is presented to voters on a ballot. The Bureau of Elections provides interested parties with the forms, instructions and manuals needed to circulate petitions, or submit a filing fee to gain access to the ballot. Please review applicable information below and contact the Bureau of Elections, Filing and Canvassing Section if you have any questions.
