Because of national system maintenance by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA), driver’s license/ID transactions won’t be able to be completed online or at self-service stations from 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, through 11 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15. Vehicle transactions will still be available.
Department of State takes action against Lansing auto dealership

LANSING – The Michigan Department of State (MDOS) has served a summary suspension on a Lansing vehicle dealer for various violations under the Michigan Vehicle Code.
MB Auto Connection Inc., located at 6936 S Cedar St, was served a summary suspension on Sept. 23. MB Auto Connection Inc. is owned by Brooke Taylor Ridge.
MDOS received a complaint regarding an over $500,000 outstanding loan payment. An MDOS regulation agent conducted an investigation wherein a dealer employee, Michael Badawi, admitted to failing to fulfill the terms of the loan. The dealership was subsequently found to be in violation of the Michigan Vehicle Code for numerous offenses including altering or using false or altered registration or title assignment, failure to properly complete required paperwork, fraudulent acts in connection with selling or otherwise dealing in vehicles, failure to maintain odometer records, failure to make application for title and registration in purchaser’s name, exceeding authority granted by license, failure to submit proper sales tax and failure to apply for in-transit registration for out-of-state retail customer taking delivery of a vehicle.
