The mission of Agricultural and Foreign Labor Services is to engage employers to enhance employment and training opportunities and improve quality of life for workers within Michigan's migrant and seasonal worker dependent Industries.

Foreign Labor Services

Foreign Labor Services supports Michigan employers who are seeking to hire non-immigrant foreign workers through the Foreign Labor Certification Program as a temporary employment solution in order to meet their labor needs.

National Farmworker Jobs Program

Through the National Farmworker Jobs Program, eligible agricultural workers may receive individualized career and training services, housing assistance and other related services to help them secure life-changing economic futures in Michigan.

The State Monitor Advocate works to ensure Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers (MSFWs) receive the same employment-related supportive services, benefits and protections as all other workers.

Employment Service (ES) Complaint System

The Employment Service (ES) Complaint System provides a formal process at the state level to address complaints involving employment-related laws.

The Michigan Agriculture and Food Systems Workforce Advancement Initiative

The Michigan Agriculture and Food Systems Workforce Advancement Initiative seeks to help Michigan food growers, processers and distributors develop the technology- and data-savvy workforce they need to fill critical jobs by providing more job-based, experiential learning opportunities and credentials for MFSWs, through partnerships and collaboration with employers, workers, Career and Technical Education centers, Community Colleges, and other industry recognized training institutions that offer agricultural technology education and training courses.
