Beginning July 14, 2025, all customer-facing Bureau of Elections staff will be temporarily relocated within the Richard H. Austin Building while construction takes place in our suite. Michigan election law governs the ballot access procedures under which a candidate, political party, or ballot measure is presented to voters on a ballot. The Bureau of Elections provides interested parties with the forms, instructions and manuals needed to circulate petitions, or submit a filing fee to gain access to the ballot.
