GVSU Student Success Program
Grand Valley State University (GVSU) Student Success Program
Students preparing for college or wanting to spend their summer in a meaningful way – please join us this summer for the Grand Valley Student Success Program (S3P), a seven-week pre-college program. This program will equip you with essential knowledge, skills, and strategies for academic and personal success while transitioning from high school to college.
The program features college-level coursework, educational workshops, and co-curricular activities that promote a strong sense of community by fostering meaningful connections with faculty, staff, and peers. In addition to building a solid foundation for college life, students will earn 7–8 academic credits (one math class, one English reading class, and one pre-college skills class), receive personalized advising and registration support, and get early access to their Fall 2026 semester housing assignment if they choose to enroll at GVSU.
Program Duration: June 28, 2026 – August 14, 2026
- Students will live in the residential dorms on the GVSU main campus in Allendale, Michigan. Programming is typically Monday through Thursday, with social educational trips in the community on Saturdays.
- Note: Participants are required to complete the Post-Secondary Assessment (PSA) at the BSBP Training Center (formerly Post-Secondary Readiness Program or PSRP) prior to program enrollment.
Registration Deadline: April 15, 2025 (or until GVSU program compacity of 120 students)
- Students can apply to the program with GVSU degree-seeking application if they plan to attend GVSU as a degree-seeking student, or as a non-degree GVSU application if they are not planning on attending GVSU in the Fall 2026 semester.
- The program website is: Summer Student Success Program (S3P) - Oliver Wilson Scholars - Grand Valley State University.
