MiSTEM convenes a statewide network of leaders in education, business and local communities to empower the next generation of innovators.
The Rural Development Fund Board, housed in the Office of Rural Prosperity, has oversight of the Rural Development Fund. The Board is charged with advising the Office on how to distribute tax revenue collected from mines to improve and strengthen local communities. Director is a voting member and makes final decision on projects (Public Act 411 of 2012).

MCTI’s Industrial Electronics Program provides hands-on/skilled based learning with an online interactive multimedia curriculum to teach electronics industry and manufacturing. Skill standard electronic courses help prepare students for entry-level positions in manufacturing production and assembly, machine maintenance and technicians and that lead into apprentice skilled trades.

Depending on skills, abilities and interests, students can participate up to five terms.
Job opportunities increase after completion of training. Starting pay may range from the current minimum wage to a higher amount depending on the location of the job.
Students who most closely match the U.S. Department of Labor occupational profile for an Electronics Service Technician are accepted for enrollment.
