Drench Dressings Finds Success Through the Summer Fancy Food Show 2022

In June of 2022, Drench Dressings attended the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City, hosted by the by the Specialty Food Association (SFA).  The SFA provides members with resources, knowledge, and connections to best aid companies in an always evolving marketplace.  The Summer Fancy Food Show attracts and connects growers, makers and buyers to help the specialty food industry grow!  With MDARD subsidizing a portion of the show cost, many Michigan entrepreneurs are able to exhibit at the show.

Drench Dressings gained numerous opportunities from the 2022 Summer Fancy Food Show. They made 50 new relationships with buyers/distributors, including stores like Hy-Vee, Costco, and Fresh Direct!  They also recently onboarded with Hy-Vee. Additionally, they had immediate sales totaling $4,000 as well as $150,000 of projected sales over the next year, as a direct result of the show.  MDARD is an attributor to this success, Drench Dressing’s founder Karen Binno Akouri said “I am so grateful to MDARD and the Food Export Association for all their support. Their programs and amazing team has allowed Drench to go to the next level by getting us closer to our dream of becoming a recognized national brand. Thank you for giving us access to all the incredible opportunities!”.

Drench is revolutionizing dressings by using clean ingredients. One of their biggest selling points is that they’re free of the most common allergens: gluten-free, dairy free, nut free, egg free, fish free, refined sugar free, and non-GMO project certified. They only use the finest oils, such as olive oil and avocado oil without using any artificial preservatives, colors, or emulsifiers.  These dressings and marinades are set apart from all others.  You can find drench dressings throughout Michigan, in the Midwest and across the US!  You can also find Drench‘s 8 delicious flavors including Citrus Honey Vinaigrette, Mediterranean Lemon, Balsamic Fig, Vegan Caesar, Southwest Vinaigrette, Sesame Ginger Vinaigrette, Champagne Vinaigrette & Fattoush dressing at idrench.com.

Drench started when its founder, Karen, began reading the back of your typical, store-bought dressing bottles and realized she couldn’t pronounce the majority of the ingredients.  A common ingredient that shocked her the most was titanium dioxide, which is used as a whitening agent in industrial paint.  This motivated her to start making her own dressings, which has grown into the Drench Dressings that so many people across the country have come to love!  Additionally, Karen is proud to be WBENC, certified women owned.
