Secretary of State Mobile Office to join Detroit non-profit for community resource fair

-- CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER --

Visitors can renew license plate tabs, driver's licenses on site

The Secretary of State Mobile Office is visiting Detroit’s Matrix Human Services on Tuesday, Feb. 12, to offer full services to the community, Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson announced today.

“Accessible services are a hallmark of the Secretary of State’s office, and the Mobile Office provides that in many places statewide, all year long, like at this event,” Benson said. “Visit to renew your driver’s license or license plate tabs or apply for a license or identification. We bring our services directly to you.”

Matrix Human Services is at 13560 E. McNichols St. and provides early childhood programs, community health services, financial help and assistance for seniors. The event, “Show Me the Money Day,” is a free community resource fair providing residents with financial workshops, homeownership guidance and a job fair. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Customers who visit the Mobile office also will be able to change their address, update their voter registration and sign up on the Michigan Organ Donor Registry.
