WARREN – The Southwest Macomb County Plus Secretary of State office will close for five days for a remodeling project, and customers are encouraged to complete their transactions online at ExpressSOS.com or at an alternative branch office.
The office at 11533 E. 12 Mile Road in Warren will be closed beginning Monday, June 3, and will resume normal service at 9 a.m. Monday, June 10.
Customers and staff will benefit from renovations including an improved accessible counter station for people with disabilities, new carpet and a newly painted lobby, new data lines and electrical updates.
Most license plate types can be ordered or renewed online at ExpressSOS.com. Driver’s license permits and registrations for vehicles, motorcycles, snowmobiles or boats may be printed, allowing motorists to drive legally until they get their renewed driver’s license or plate and tab in the mail. Additionally, customers may order a duplicate registration or title, change their address and register to be an organ donor on the website.

All four offices are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The East 8 Mile and Sterling Heights offices are open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Super Centers and Plus offices are open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Super Centers are also open Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
