Take the challenge of surviving in Tobico Marsh! Our day will begin with introductions to fire building and safety, shelter building, packing for preparedness, survival fishing techniques, a primitive archery shoot and more.

Participants will then have the opportunity to camp overnight in our designated primitive area on their own, either in a tent or in a shelter they build. A pit toilet and fire pit will be available to for use.

Cost is $55, which includes lunch and dinner on Saturday as well as clinic supplies.

To register for this class, go to Michigan.gov/DNRLicenses and click on the "Purchase a license" button. Sign in (using either a username and password or your ID and birthdate), and find the class under the Outdoor Skills Academy tab. If you should need to request a refund after registering, please contact our License Sales and Customer Service help desk line at 800-737-6367.
